Small Business Utilization Center

SMALL BUSINESS UTILIZATION CENTER (SBUC)

The SBUC is a dedicated hub offering resources, training, and support, focused on helping small businesses thrive in the current economic landscape and align with Sacramento County’s procurement needs.

Empowering Local Businesses, Enhancing Regional Prosperity

In partnership with Sacramento County, SBUC's mission is to harness the vibrant energy of our local small businesses, which form 92% of Sacramento County's 110,000 businesses, and guide them towards sustainable growth and success.

Strategic Alignment with County Procurement

Our program is uniquely designed to align the services and resources of small businesses directly with the procurement needs of Sacramento County. This targeted approach enables us to:

  1. Facilitate Direct Access to County Contracts: We create pathways for small businesses, especially Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), to access and compete for Sacramento County contracts, directly supporting their growth and capacity expansion.
  2. Offer Customized Support: By understanding and aligning with the county’s procurement requirements, we provide tailored assistance to each business, ensuring they meet the specific needs of county projects.
  3. Promote Long-Term Business Development: Beyond addressing the immediate impact of the pandemic, our aim is to position these businesses to capitalize on a future surge in public sector contracting and procurement opportunities.

PARTICIPATE IN THE SBUC

We invite all small business owners in Sacramento County to be a part of this effort. To engage with the program, join one of our upcoming workshops or contact us below.
