Welcome remarks were given by SACC Chief Operating Officer, Frank Louie, followed by remarks from Office of the Governor Appointments Secretary Mona Pasquil. Mona shared “A piece of humble pie a day never hurt any one.”
New to the program this year, Program Director Julius Cherry offered comments on his first year and his gratitude to each of the graduating students. He offered a final piece of advice to graduates by stating “You’re old at 40 if you stop learning, but you’re young at 80 if you keep learning.”
The fourteen graduating Catalyst students were given the opportunity to share their experience with the program and introduce the non-profit organization that they partnered with. Some partnering non-profits included Invictus Foundation, API Next, Institute for Internal Auditors, My Sister’s House, WALK Sacramento, Gateway Community Charter, Capsity, Light House Family Resource Center, Phillppine National Day Association and the Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation.
