Who We Are

The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce is the largest ethnic chamber in the region. Formed in 1993, its mission is to build sustainable communities through economic development. The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of the 6,000 Asian owned businesses within the Sacramento region. Our focus is Asian owned businesses, but we impact the over 37,000 small businesses that reside here.

Why We Matter

Since 1993, 6 in 10 new jobs were created by small business, and 95% of firms in the Sacramento region are small business. With over 37,000 small businesses in the region, they employ over 325,000 people and the purchasing power of this region’s small business employees is over $12 billion. The Asian owned business sector is the fastest growing segment of the small business community. We represent 15% of the total with annualized year over year growth of 26%.* We matter because the demographics of the region have changed and as a majority, minority community we have the opportunity to increase capacity in the ethnically diverse small business community to help build a sustainable region to further economic growth.
