Spotlight on Networking Nexus VIP Speakers

The SACC is pleased to announce six VIP speakers at Networking Nexus on Tuesday May 10th.

Networking Nexus is an annual event focused on connecting professionals and introducing them to the diverse communities Sacramento has to offer. Participants of Networking Nexus will range from budding young professionals to entrepreneurs wishing to broaden their networks.

The speakers will include Warren Smith, President/Co-Founder of Sacramento Republic FC; Scott Syphax, CEO of Nehemiah Corporation of America; Kitty O’Neal, KFBK Afternoon News Host; Jeff Savage, President of Sacramento River Cats; John Frisch, Senior Vice President of Newmark Cornish and Carey; and James Beckwith, President/CEO of Five Star Bank.

Participants will benefit from their business and leadership expertise.

Warren Smith is the Sacramento Executive of the Year according to Sacramento Business Journal. Previous to the Sac Republic, Smith was the Senior Vice President of Clean World Partners.

Scott Syphax is a member of the Financial Times’ Agenda Magazine “Compassionate 100” and PolicyLink’s 2013 Executive Leader of the Year. In addition to his work with Nehemiah, Syphax also hosts and co-executive produces Studio Sacramento on KVIE.

Kitty O’Neal has hosted KFBK Afternoon News for twenty three years. Her news shows have covered many historical events such as Presidential inaugurations, the Grammy Awards, and twenty five Academy Awards ceremonies. Along with her work for KFBK she serves on the board for The California Museum and the Salvation Army.

Jeff Savage is a Top Exec of 2014 by Business Journal and was listed in their “40 Under 40” list in 2012. In addition to the River Cats, Savage serves as the Board Chair for the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and is the President of the River Cats Foundation.

John Frisch has worked in commercial real estate for 33 years. He has previously held leadership positions with the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, Association of Commerical Real Estate, and the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization.

James Beckwith has worked in banking for over 20 years. In addition to Five Star Bank, Beckwith also serves as Board Chair of KVIE. Previously, he served as the Immediate Past Board Chair of Sacramento Metro Chamber, Valley Vision, and NextEd.
